Planning a Move in Metairie

A successful Metairie move begins with accurate information about the property and inventory. Apartments and condominiums may require elevator or loading-area coordination, while homes and commercial properties can involve different parking, driveway and access conditions.

Traffic and travel between Metairie, New Orleans, Kenner and other Jefferson Parish communities can also affect scheduling. Reviewing these details before moving day helps determine the appropriate crew, equipment and time.

If you are relocating to the area and want community, utility and settling-in information, visit our separate Moving to Metairie guide. This page remains focused on professional moving services and move preparation.

This company worked late into the freezing night to make sure our furniture was put into storage on time. The men were knowledgeable about the antiques they were moving and took excellent care of all items, including a baby grand piano. Their team was excellent and kept constant communication. Highly recommend.

Keep It moving Was AMAZING! I got several quotes and the were by far (like thousands) cheaper. So I was a little worried, get what you pay for right? But I was not disappointed! These guys were helpful, fast, even though they work by the hour they didn’t waste any time, I didn’t have to babysit them. They made what could have been a painful miserable experience fun and painless. I was moving an entire 3 story business so it was no small feat. Thank you Jon Michael 🙂 your a beast

This company is great! When I bought my new house, my friend told me to call Keep It Moving because she had used them for her move and was really happy with their services. I’m so glad I called. My movers showed up on time and were polite and professional. They actually completed my move in less time than I was initially quoted. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone that needs moving services.
